Thinnest speakers in the world

I know not everyone approves of listening to music while riding, but this looks awesome to me. I'm imagining being able to put ear plugs in to avoid wind fatigue while still being able to hear music and gps directions in my helmet. I know that noise isolating ear buds exist, but I've never found any that fit well enough to not hurt my ears or isolate well. I also snowboard and this thing looks like it'd be great for that too.

Here's the kickstarter if anyone's interested: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...-for-your-head

Interesting. I somehow doubt they'd be loud enough what with earplugs in and all.

FYI this is what I use and they're great. They fit entirely inside your ear canal… the only thing that protrudes is the wire. Very comfy, crystal clear audio.

Expensive but worth it… I've tried several other solutions and nothing comes close.

Looks like they have a stiff part that sticks out.

In my experience with earbuds (I've tried probably half a dozen different ones), ANYTHING sticking out will either get caught when you put your helmet on and dislodge the earbud, or will create a painful pressure point.

Everyone's ears are different, though. The S-plugs are the only ones I've ever tried that work well in my helmet, but that doesn't mean they're the only answer.

Have you tried those Klipsches? I'd love to find a cheaper alternative to the S plug, but only if it works as well.

Ya I'm hoping it's loud enough and I pledged in the kickstarter cause I want it for snowboarding anyways. In the demo video they measure it at 97 dB and it doesn't say if that is max volume or not. So I'm thinking since I can hear people talking when I have ear plugs in if they speak up that I'll be able to hear music and gps. Guess I'll find out in October or so.

Earplugs + schuberths SRC system = fantastic. If this could replicate those results then that would be awesome. I'm not confident that it will.
