I need to read about it, but in general, one large tube is stiffer than two smaller ones of the same weight. What is your impression of the design?

These act like a beam, having a higher section modulus to resist braking flexion while being less rigid to absorb lateral forces.
Maybe more weight and manufacturing costs and other complications.

Noticed the adjustable rake and trail?

It's late, and I still need to read about it, but it seems like the stiffness that results from the section modulus may be in the wrong direction!
