Raising bike to work on????
Has anyone figured out a way to raise your bike to work on, so you aren't constantly bending over or sitting/kneeling on the ground (without buying an expensive lift of course)?
There is one guy on the ninja250forum board that made a platform for his, and rolls it up on ramps... but that idea scares the #@!$ out of me! I don't know how he stabilizes it on such a narrow platform, and then gets it up on paddock stands. I know it really isn't brain surgery, but one wrong move and you and/or the bike is falling off the platform..... at least that is my fear. Any thoughts or solutions: |

That is AMAZING! The link isn't working, but going to the parent page gets lots of pics. I love the incorporation of the hydraulic floor jack! The only thing is, the welding. Don't have a welder, and the only welding I have done was a couple hack jobs back in high school. |

Repackaged link:
http://tinyurl.com/25q36mx Of course, both the original and the tinyurl one work for me! Found that within the first coupld of links on Google. "motorcycle table lift"! There are also plans available elsewhere for a portable lift from a single piece of plywood. |

Ouch... that sucks!
I put off getting a lift for a long time. I finally got tired of sitting on the ground and bought one. Princess Auto has a great lift. Just wait for it to go on sale and buy it then. Princess Auto Motorcycle Lift |
