Starbucks
Went to Starbucks, asked about Alonso, no reaction, asked about Marquez, no reaction, asked about Danica, I got an, "the Go Daddy girl?". I'm not impressed with the conversation!

@CC_Cowboy, lol, you a funny guy! I wonder what they expected from such different groups?
I was told a few years ago that I'm not allowed to have an opinion on anything I don't experience myself. Thus I've refrained from having an opinion on racial issues (because apparently white isn't a race). I've refrained from having an opinion on socio-economic issues (because apparently being affluent and working my ass off, among other things, learning English in the US, to respect and honor my parents' sacrifice doesn't make me an immigrant, nor do my struggles count because of point 1 above). I've refrained from having a supportive opinion toward women's issues because I am not, have never been, and probably never will be a woman. My money however is good enough to pay taxes and donate to causes other groups deem important... So, I'm not sure what Starbucks was getting at. Personally, I think there is a lot of injustice in the world and would like to work with others irrespective of differences to make it better. Unfortunately I am a non-citizen, as Starbucks is an "evil/insensitive" corporation because we've been blessed too much. It's a sad time in our world.

I'll take a nine shot espresso triple frappe double latte with extra whipped cream and 4 hazelnut licorice creamers with two scoops of espresso (DON'T BURN THE BEANS LIKE YOU DID LAST TIME) and don't forget the cinnamon sprinkle of nutmeg pumpkin spice and please be SURE that you sell it to me in a biodegradable cup with a compostable straw because I believe in protecting the ENVIRONMENT because... and... because... and... because...
People don't go to starbucks for the coffee. They go there for the scene, and the trophy cup that they get to carry around for the rest of the day to prove that they are posh and affluent. A tiny single sad tear rolls down my face for the next generation. Good luck, kids!

Starbucks dropped their "race conversation" promotion so everything is back to normal.

So you're telling me Billy Boy gave all his money away? Or do you mean his charities (tax write offs) are doing good work (which they are)? But wait, then that would put him in a lower tax bracket than the McDonalds workers. That doesn't seem fair. I mean he didn't really build that business!

My reply was simply meant to denote the ridiculousness of the argument that those who don't experience something themselves can't empathize, and therefor can't support or have an opinion on the issue... Like Starbucks trying to start the conversation about race... <sarcasm>White people aren't allowed to have an opinion on race, because "white" isn't a race. </sarcasm>
