Bike Stand Help!

I ride an 09' Ninja and would like to get a bike stand, for obvious reasons, but I have some questions...
-Is there a front bike stand and a rear bike stand?
-Is there a specific bike stand I need or do bike stands fit all bikes?
-Do I need to do anything special (like adding spools) to use a bike stand?
-Has anyone had any bad experiences (like slipping out, etc.) using a bike stand?

I hate to sound like such a noob but thanks for the help! Any other good information about bike stands that I need to know would be very appreciated!

A bunch of threads here that may have the info you're looking for; a search on "pitbull" should do the trick. Here's probably the best one that kkim started awhile back ---> Linky. Here's another more recent one ---> Linky

If the pitbulls are a bit pricy for you, as they are for me, I got a set of front and rear ones off ebay for a little over 100 and they work good.

A low cost alternative...

http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...and-66192.html

They also have the front stand adapters too...

I just got some T-Rex stands off of E-Bay and I like them a lot. Really solid and really easy to get the bike on and off by myself

cost was ~$135.00 all together for both the front and rear stands with the spools needed for your bike(as long as you tell them what bike you have)

Aye, ive been looking on ebay at those too!

I have Pitbulls for my 250R, but im thinking of getting the T-rex combo.

T-rex will be used on my 250R (lighter bike)

Then my Pitbulls will be used on my 650R!
