Aftermarket Master Cylinder
Hey guys. I want to get my friend a new master cylinder for the ninja 250 as a gift.
He always complains about his braking and how his bike doesn't brake well. He is already using the vesrah pads. Has stainless steel lines. Don't want to switch the calipers so I'm going to switch the Master. Anybody using a Master cylinder off another bike? or an Aftermarket? If so which one, and how do you like it? What difference did it make? Thanks in advance!

I've tried a lot of combos Nd here's what I've experienced.
1. I used a 636 master in the stock caliper. Bad idea.. It's too powerful for to the stock caliper specially since it's made to push 8 Pistons and we have only 2. 2. Used a tokico 4 pot caliper with the 636 master.. Better but the design of the tokico was such that the brakes started fading fast. 3. Used a brembo with the 636. Worked well but fading was still an issue. 4. Got a 2014 10r master and it was like a match made in heaven.. Amazing bite feedback and it's a single finger brake.. Couldn't be any better.. Although u would need to get a motion pro quick throttle in order to fit the master since it's radially placed and the throttle cables will come in the way. |

there are alot of variables with pivot distance, piston size in bother master and caliper, along with mounting and lever orientation but I would think a 17/18 would be a little too big for my taste
R6 brembo is 16mm I think. Would be the one I would try.

I'm using a brembo from a 08 ktm Superduke 990 lc8. But any 100mm brembo caliper will. I uncanny find plenty on eBay from about 100$. And the master is from a 2014 10r
