What are the most common mods for racing?

This has probably been addressed somewhere on the forums, I tried the search function and some stuff came up but it wasn't very specific.

I live in NorCal and I was wondering what are the most common mods that racing orgs allow? I know it will be different for each organization but im curious as to what other people have done.

I only ride street atm but i want to do a track day and eventually join a racing organization. Some mods I am considering are a complete suspension overhall, (forks, rear spring, dogbones) maybe airbox delete and full exhaust system.

Can someone throw some light on this? or direct me to the correct thread?

Clipons, Rearsets, Exhaust and jetting are the first ones. Front suspension either with springs, oil, emulators and adjusters or drop ins. Mixed reviews on changing out the rear suspension there are some posts up here about that.

Dont take the air box out as i think everyone race org runs SS rules and you cant modify the air box or engine internals.

Since you are in norcal i would guess that you are going to race AFM so
try and get a hold of Bartlow from FLAP or Kazman. Hit up the BARF forums as well as i am sure there are a ton of people from AFM on there.

Rear dogbones may be illegal in many production-ish racing classes. Check with your local org before that or any airbox mods.
