180 miles and 2 twisty roads.

Today I wanted to try out the seat mod. And hit the twisties. First was FM3090-what a blast. The twistiest road near the Houston area. I scraped the right peg once. And am considering replacing the rear IRC tire. I've never had a tire get squirrely on cornering. Then went over to FM149. On the way there there were a few bikers checking out the historic Grimes County Courthouse and I talked to them. 2 of them had 6 cylinder bikes-Goldwing and a Valkerie(how do you spell that?) It's been 4 years since my last trip down 149. Only a few miles of it are good-I forgot how much of it is straight. After 150 miles, I started to get a little sore, but tolerable. With the stock seat and no seat pad, I would have wanted a wheelchair after that many miles.

Posts: Too much.
If you are starting to push the bike enough in corners to scrape the pegs, change the tires to something stickier before they decide to surprise you.
