PowerCommander 5 (PC5) - Coolant Temp and Speed/Gear Setup
Hey guys,
I couldn't find any information regarding the calibration of the speed sensor (for gears) or the engine coolant setup (if you've wired these into your PC5). Below is what I've calculated and been using. The temp isn't perfect between 23C-40C but it's good enough and displays well on the POD-300 This is on a 2016, I'm not familiar using change in the family. Oh it's also stock gearing. I can calculate the values if you're using other gears (or you can just do the recommended cal). Gearing (Menu: Power Commander Tools->Calibrate->Gear Calibration) 1 - 450 to 310 2 - 250 to 210 3 - 190 to 155 4 - 150 to 140 5 - 130 to 117 6 - 112 to 100 Engine Coolant Temperature (Menu: Power Commander Tools->Configure Engine Temperature Input) Source: Analog Voltage Table Size: 5 Voltage - Temp 4.601 = -20.0 4.003 = 0.0 3.150 = 23.0 2.053 = 40.0 0.435 = 100.0 To see how close yours is, the fan should turn on at 103 and turn off at 98. Hopefully this helps someone! |
