^^^^$159. What does it cost delivered to Hawaii....$300?

But that is a valid option. Everyone, please post more selections.

he sticks it in a flat rate USPS box... so less than $10 to ship.

I use the 2.5A batteries in the dirt bikes... weighs less than a pound and if you keep them topped off between riding sessions, they hold up as well as a conventional lead/acid battery.

For racers/track rats who still keep their batteries, I would think losing a few pounds would really help on the Ninja.

That is a great price for a direct replacement battery you posted.

In MHO the 6 lb weight savings is not worth the extra cost of the turntech battery.

For racing yes but for an everyday street bike I would say no.

Here's another option because they are local for me. I heard their "Extreme" Powersport batteries are made by Yuasa! I have had excellent service from the Extreme one I bought for my dirt bike (CRF 150F)

^^^^$15 more than the one I found without adding S&H (didn't check if it was free or not). But it's still good to have options. Thanks

Terminals are backwards. Not sure it matters since the site is closed down, but it's something to pay attention to when shopping for a battery.

Yep, but it deserved expanding on in case anyone stumbles across it like I did and started looking to source that battery.

Because it hasn't been pointed out in this thread yet, I should point out that Kawasaki upgraded to a bigger battery for 2009/2010 and changed to again to another battery for 2011/2012. Bigger batteries can fit without the foam spacer in the battery box.

The ETX9 is the cross-reference for the YTX9. They're usually around $80, and AA almost always has coupon codes for $25-$30 off. I'm happy with $50-$60 and available immediately.
I'm not familiar with the specifics of which years need which battery, but you can probably find the right model at http://www.dekacatalog.com/. The Deka batteries from AA might not be quite as cheap as some of the online options, but for many people they're a local, get-it-right-now option for only a few bucks more.
