Idle question....

So, i found my idle, and are you sussposed to pull it out and then twist it? Or just twist to the left/right? I tried both, and it doesnt seem to do anything when i twist it to the left to turn it down...??? Am i doing something wrong?

So, it doesnt turn all the way around, like a screw? I was twisting it last nite, and it didnt seem to do anything to the left, when i would screw it to the right, it would turn the idle up, and i need mine down..

How far down are you trying to go? Anything below 1300 and you might have problems. I don't even recall pulling mine out, I just turn. Try turning the bike off and then turn it back on and see if you get a different reading.

before you adjust the idle, make sure the bike is already warm and still running. then make the adjustments.

You shouldn't have to pull it out and then push it back in. Left (counter clockwise) lowers the idle and right (clockwise) will raise the idle. It should give you a bit of resistance when turning. Make sure to blip the throttle a bit after each adjustment. It's probably not the smartest thing to do but I would adjust it at red lights, turning it just a bit until eventually it came down into the right spot.
