How do you guys bleed your brakes?

I'm having a real hard time bleeding my brakes... I don't have access to a vacuum system and the regular pumping system isn't doing me any good... I tried reverse bleeding by pumping oil up from the caliper bleeder nipple, but I still have no bite on my brakes... Any wizardry I should know about to make this process simpler?

I finally managed using a combination of old fashioned pumping and using a reverse bleeding method...

that reminds me about a new Harbor Freight in town, might have to go pick up a brake bleeding kit.

glad you got it sorted out.

I generally just do old fashion pump, open, close, release, repeat. And I use clear tubing on the end of the nipple.

I almost have to pull the master from the clip on and angle it upward to get the air out right up at the master and get a decent bleed due to the angle.

I start bleeding with the master open, standard bleeding procedure. For my final bleed I overfill the master slightly and pump it with the master cover ON. Seems to work great every time.

I think the next time i do it i will get a piece of 3/4" copper pipe and mount the MC to it and tilt it so the banjo bolt is the lowest point allowing the micro air bubbles to come up into the MC, it really is the worst part of brake bleeding. It doesn't help matters when the hose end has pockets for the air to get trapped and held there, so i would think a nice piece of pipe allowing you to tilt to an angle allowing you to get those stubborn pockets of air removed.

I do this multiple times a year. My brakes are solid as a rock.
