I would recommend a couple of scratches to the fairings and one or two conspicuous dents to the fuel tank...all self-inflicted of course...just to detract thieves, because that is one SWEET bike!!

Nope And I'll never go back to a normal mirror, I'll only use bar ends. The bar end in the picture is a CRG 2" non folding mirror. I thought I was going to hate not having mirrors coming from the 250 with mirrors, but I learned quick that my thoughts were wrong. The thing is great! I see more with that then I ever did with normal mirrors. I can see everything behind me and to the side of me. Sadly I dropped the bike a 0mph and it snapped off. Not knowing they made replacement parts and being pissed at myself for dropping her I threw the mirror away

not having mirrors sucks so I knew I had to do something fast! So I ordered D2moto bar ends. There absolute pieces of ****, one broke off from just moving it. Dont buy them, please!

Still hunting around I knew I needed to stop ****ing around and just buy the good CRG one again. Right before I ordered I was hunting around on OCMOTO.com and someone posted a brand new pair of CRG 3" (standard size) LS (lane splitting) that have the ability to fold if you hit a car it wont snap a bar end off or turn your handle bars msrp on the LS version is like $80 each, and I picked these up for $110 for two.

Not exactly the color I wanted but its something that can be changed (going with a 2 tone black and gold) Having the 3" mirror is MUCH better. There isnt one angle to the back of me that I cannot see. Seriously these things are amazing. Even if I didnt find the deal on ocmoto I would have still paid msrp for them, you really get what you pay for in this situation

Lovely bike. That's the most cheeky number plate positioning I've seen so far

Maybe you like the two stands because it makes the bike more important and special! If someone had a rubbish bike they wouldn't go to the effort of raising it off the ground like that.

Helps with the lines on the bike. Normal mirrors mess up the natural lines of the bike

Actually took extensive engine work to get it to 636cc

Where did you get the body kit and how much was the motor parts/where did you get them? Going from 250 to 636 (?) that's a lot of work. I though they only had slightly larger piston kits.

I would like to do this with mine but when I look in the plastics there is no more room for motor parts. I want to add two sylinders to mine.

It took an amazing amount of duct tape

I'll second that. I just ordered a digital cluster from them over the phone this morning. The guy was really helpful and I expect delivery within a day or two. Best price anywhere and a+ customer service.

Just stumbled upon that Indysuperbike site and realized their business address is about 45 minutes from me. Does anyone know if they have a "brick and mortar" store? Also, do they offer gold sprockets for the Ninja 250?

Kevin, was the gold chain any more expensive than the standard chain of the same ring shape? Same with the sprockets? I would totally do that when I replace my chain/sprockets if they aren't more expensive

I dont think the was too much of a price difference between gold and black. Dont buy the cheap ass chains, youll end up hating them and needing to replace them. Its something you really shouldnt skimp on, do it right the first time. The DID 520ev is a good chain, but for $20 more you can get there upgraded 520erv3 race chain, that will last longer and made from much better material. Buy the ERV3 from indy, there the cheapest on that chain by a pretty good amount. I'll do a write up once the chain is on the bike this weekend, but so far I have heard nothing but great things about this chain

Oh and for the sprockets its a Supersprox

Its a 2 piece set up, the inner part of the sprocket is a hardened aluminum for weight reduction. The outer portion of the sprocket is a hardened steel, making the sprocket very strong, light, and durable so it should last a long time
