Turn signal mirrors
I just installed some Turn signal mirrors and decided to write up how it did it and see what you guys think.... here is the finished product first
I go the mirrors off eBay and since they are "Universal fit" naturally they don't fit the bike at all. i decided to keep the mounts the the old mirrors had and attach the new mirrors to them. I started by cutting the old mirror right after the swivel I then drilled out the center of the old mount next i removed the swivel on the new mirrors then cut off the the rounded point of attachment of the new mirror next i used epoxy to glue the new mirror in the old base. i used a heat gun to soften the plastic of the base and taper it to the new mirror so i looked like it was suppose to be there. to get the wire through the faring i drilled a small hole here what the mirror looks like up close on the bike ...Let me know what you think |

Good work. Always nice to have options and learn from the work of others who've given it a good shot.

Great mod. Are you going to keep the stock signals or remove them and put a blanking plate in their place?

i don't really care for the look of just plates so Im going with asian cycle flush mounts whenever they arrive. besides adding to the style of the bike with the new mirrors having 2 sets of blinkers in the front couldn't hurt.
