exhaust mufflers
does it make any driffrence if the muffler canister is long or short, to the loudness of the pipe
why are the mpg growler louder then the 2 borthers or yoshi, is cause the mufflers are short.. im looking for a deep tone sound in an exhaust or slip on.. |

Very generally speaking, diameter of the perforated tube going through the system/can controls the flow through the system, while volume of the canister controls the volume. I know it's much more complicated than that, but yes a shorty can is typically louder than a longer can of the same diameter.
To hear the difference, check out the difference between Apea P's 12 inch can and the 18 inch can on their race system. http://areapnolimits.com/products/Sl...-Race-2008.php |
