Just saw a commercial for the ninjette

I liked the commercials for the scion frs. No emphasis on customization or frilly things like that. Simply and emphasis on performance and the whole point of the car; lightweight fun car for twisty roads

It's funny because at first you think its a car commercial but they are just setting it up to show you the passing power of the ninjette.

Chances are they edited in sound. Like in Terminator 2 when John is riding a small Honda XR, but the sound is that of a pipey-er 2-stroke.

Not really sure what it is... It was slow like a 250 is.

I'd say definitely a Kawasaki. *shrugs* Could be a 250 and they just edited sound in like Karl suggested.

Why is it that you don't see many ninjette commercials? The CBR250 has a commercial....does Kawasaki just let 'Best Selling Sport-bike in America' speak for itself?

i saw that commercial as well a few weeks ago. also could not find it on youtube. at first glance it definitely looks like a 250 to me as well. very well could be another kawi.

pipe wouldn't be on the left, havn't seen a twin pipe set up on a 250r

It's definitely not a 250...more like a '08 ninja 650R. The headlights are the same and with an a.m. exhaust, I think it's it.

If you look at this pic you can see it definitely isn't a 650

That stainless steel exhaust is stock to pre 2011 ninjettes

yeah...I just assumed the 650s would have a longer aftermarket slip-on option...couldn't find any mention on the web...so, I guess that rules out the 650R. (unless there's a slip-on out there that would give them a more conventional looking exhaust).

^ I think it would need an entirely new header as well since a slipon replaces the can which would still be located under the bike. Also, if they sold that I would buy it because I don't like the "invisible" exhaust

Yeah that isn't a ninja 250. Can't really tell what it is. But it seems to have a silver swing-arm. And the 08+ ninjettes have black.

The body coloured piece between the lights & screen rule out a 650, it does look like a 250 from the front, but the side shot looks wrong...

Who's to say that they only used one bike?
250 for the head on shot & something else for the aerial view of the pass.
look at 21 seconds in, frame is silver, swingarm is silver & the wrong shape for a 250.

Front view shows the chrome exhaust at his left foot as well so both front and aerial are of the same bike.

Looking a little closer the bike is too wide for a 250. I'm thinking it's actually a Honda. A early 2000 Honda Superhawk maybe. Also notice how the headlight appears dark in the upper left and right corners. It does the same thing in the track picture below. The commercial bike also appears to not have a painted lower fairing. The Superhawk didn't either. Only thing that doesn't seem to match is the small light near the wind-screen. Maybe this was different on other model years.
