Would you get this bike?

I am able to get a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 250r with 6k miles on it for 3200. That's the lowest they will go. Is this a good deal?

If its mint then I'd say yeah but it looks like the exhaust has been down so it questionable. 6,000 miles it just do for its first valve inspection althought I didn't do mine till 11,000 miles with some minor shimming needed. I bought my bike with 1,500 miles all black in mint condition with a full LeoVince pipe for $4,000. I am very happy with my purchase and love my bike.

I don't really mind the exhaust problem because I'm getting an aftermarket exhaust anyways. Is is too many miles or is it a good deal?

I'd check the tires, find out when the last oil change was, and find out how much a valve job costs in your area. I'd factor all that together, determine how much more you'll have to spend if any to get the bike to a place where you have confidence in it, then make a decision.

with the new model year, even if that bike was in perfect condition which its not, it would be worth at max $3k. having a low-speed drop on the right, and then a ****** job repairing it makes it worth maybe $2300. if it was actually repaired properly (its not) maybe $2500.

That mark doesn't mean the bike was down. I have a similar mark on my exhaust but in brown. It's from me accidentally rubbing/scraping the exhaust on a door when bringing the bike in. Just make sure you take a good look at the right side of the bike to see if it was actually down or not.

you guys srs? that small scuff on the can? It looks like it barely went through the paint.

I'd be more concerned about how they treated it and the fact that the valve adjustment is due soon, if you don't do that yourself it would add a nice number to the total cost, ask them to show you the receipt of the last valve check/adjustment and use it as leverage (they probably won't have it)

I also see a fender chop and new tires, ask them how they liked the stock tires to see if they were doing burnouts or just wanted better rubber on there. Having no reflector on the back of the bike can get you a citation, ask if they have all the hardware they removed from the fender.

Yeah i get those marks on my exhaust too - it's not from the bike being dropped.

Agree that the price is too high...talk him down to something under $3k and you may have something here.

(amazing how little effort people put into selling their multi-thousand dollar possessions on Craigslist!) Personally, the pathetic ad created by the seller would be enough to scare me away....

I'm going to pick up this one then. He said 3800. I'm willing because it's pretty much brand new. And has some nice mods.

KBB puts the 12 at $3,700 in excellent condition (which that bike might very well be)... NADA (which dealerships use) puts average retail at $4,200... that being said, I'd offer $3,500 for it... especially if you have cash. They are a great bike and don't lose their resale value. It isn't very old and doesn't have very many miles... up to you really.

In some cases mods actually depreciate a vehicle, in this case a bike. Make sure to ask for all the original parts.
