Question about led turnsignals.

I have a 2000 ninja 250. I am thinking about buying new mirrors with integrated leds in them. My question is will they work or will I have to do the diode mod? I read somewhere that the rear would work without it but the front would need it so was just curious on which was true. I am not putting elds on the back, well at least not yet maybe when funds a re a little better. So would they work or should I do the diode mod?

You will need an electronic flasher unit. Will handle the LED's if you are just doing a pair with the reg ones on the other stalks.

Thanks for the reply, Do you happen to know where I could pick one up for this bike? Or would this work? http://www.tobefast.com/c-led-electr...5-f-64162.html Also to add to it. I am leaving the front blinkers on but switching them to flush mounts. Not sure if that make a difference or not but figured I'd throw it in just to be safe.

If you're keeping the front turn signals with incandescent bulbs and adding the LED mirror signals as extra, you don't need to get the electronic flasher, as the bulbs in the signals will draw enough current to make the stock flasher work just fine. And the diode mod is only necessary if you use LED's in the rear turn signals. Great color bike btw. Green + purple rocks

just for clarification, the electronic flasher is only required once you start swapping LED's for incandescents. But when adding LEDs ALONG with the incandescents, the stock one will be fine

Awesome, Thanks for the info. Just made my job much more easier. Now once all my parts come in she will be transformed into a brand new bike.
