Quick question on brakes and stuff...

I don't have an owners manual because the guy I got Fury from lost it. I was wondering, about how long to brake rotors and pads last on our bikes? I'm checking because I want to get my rotors powder-coated and thought I'd check to see if I should get new ones while I'm at it. I thought I might also get a new chain in the process and was wondering how long those last also. Thanks in advance.

Good call. Never would've thought of that. How would you suggest measuring that on my bike? A ruler?

you need to use some micrometer calipers, as your measurements has to be down to the thousandths of an inch.

don't be silly, he obviously wants to step out of the 19th century and get with the times. he needs to get a FARO Guage
This portable measurement arm offers accuracies up to ±.005mm (or .0002" for those unfamiliar with microns) and a 1.2m working volume.

and before you ask yes i used to work for this company lol
