Help with A* glove size?

Hello all,

I'm currently looking at purchasing the SP-1 from revzilla.

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/a...rs-sp-1-gloves

I currently own a pair of Sedici gloves that are size 2XL, and the hand fits pretty well. They may be a bit loose, especially when it comes to the arm size. I can slip the gloves off pretty easily while they are fully velcro'd. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience going from Sedici and A*'s. I know they say the A*'s run a bit smaller, but I was wondering if the 2XL would still work for me? I looked at their sizing chart and I have to be measuring wrong because I'm either off the chart or size small.

Any help would be appreciated.

PS: Here are the gloves I currently own. Definitely were a good buy at the time since the gloves I were using had no protection what so ever, but definitely not a glove I'd want to stay with forever.

If you can slip the glove off when fully fastened it's a problem.

I also use A* SP-1 gloves. Using the sizing chart size medium would work (3.5" across palm). When the gloves arrived they were snug but not uncomfortable. As with leather in general the product will be stiff/snug/tight when initially purchased but will conform to the body with use.

The gloves fit absolutely perfect now since using them.

I would go off of the size chart. RevZilla has excellent customer service, give them a call.

I went down to cycle gear and fit my hand in a size large SP-2 but my hand was uncomfortable. XL was still snug but comfortable and figured they would break in. I asked the cycle gear guy if they had any SP-1's and he told me that A*'s no longer makes them. Lol, what? So from going off the sizing of the SP-2's, I bought an XL SP-1. I think when I bought the sedicis I didn't know what a glove should feel like so I went with something that fit loosely. Hopefully the sizes between the SP-1's and 2's will be similar. Surely Revzilla will help me out if there is a problem.

Edit: Also, the XL SP-1 gloves came in and they fit like a...wait for it....glove. I've really lucked out with online purchases lately. New helmet and new gloves in the appropriate size!
