Orange, for sure. It just seems to stand out more.

It is much safer to put a huge flashing light on the top of your helmet.

I would be partial to the green one for obvious reasons... but the orange would probably be more noticable. Although, as eluded to above... it really doesn't matter what you do, someone will not bother seeing you.

According to a friend who has ridden many years, the colour is irrelevant--what you want is a colour that clashes with the bike and your other clothes and helmet. He contends that the more you look like a clown, the safer you are.

Yea that's why I was asking...I saw that add...I have a real lite mesh one from Harbor Freight, but I like the one from cyclegear...I was just unsure of the color...I thought orange was best, but I see all the city and state road workers wearing the lime color...I didn't know if they had special info that had them to go with the lime color...

I have both orange and green. I read somewhere a person wore green in the afternoons because the orange blended in too much with late afternoon sun set.
I guess it was the direction he was driving. When I'm in my car greens and yellows standout most. I see so much orange around with road signs, traffic barrels and such. For me, I just wear which ever one I grab. They both stand out against my dark color jacket and pants.

I remember back in university in my marketing class when we studied the impact of colour on marketing and advertising. Bright yellow was shown to be the most attention grabbing colour but if there was too much of it, it would cause eye fatigue and the colour would drown out the actual advertising message. In your case, your advertising message is to say "Hey, I'm here. Pay attention to me". You don't have to worry about selling any other message aside from just getting attention and get drivers to notice you. The yellow will do that job. There's a reason why school buses are painted yellow or fire hydrants (depending on where you live).

Edit: You can view the colour spectrum chart here and ask yourself which colour stands out the most. You can even try glancing away from the chart or look at your monitor from a side angle and see which colour your eye can clearly make out. For myself, it's yellow. The blues and greens get washed up together and same with the reds and oranges. You can imagine how out on the road, yellow will grab attention from other people even if they only initially notice it from the corner of their eye.

If you use this one, you'll have a better chance sneaking up on the deer to get your shot off. You do use your ninjette for hunting, right?

Floyd, That's funny. I did see a guy riding his bike in full-camo. I think there is a company (I've seen their ads) that actually makes camo motorcycle gear. Probably for that suicidal Russian lane splitting in another thread.

Powertrip makes camo gear. Lots of military guys like it since it matches close to their normal gear so they don't get hassled while on base.

Military is required to wear high-visibility PPE (personal protective gear) while on base at all times. A high-visibility upper garment is required by day and a retro-reflective garment is required at night. (IAW DODI 6055.4 para E3.2.7.1.5. and Army Regulation 385-55, Appendix B-3,e.)

The below, for example, would qualify as high-visibility gear . . .

You guys wear these vests all the time?

Trying to remember when was it that I saw a biker wearing one of those in Europe, (excluding driving school) and simply can't remember.

But I do know a few people who wear camo gear
