Question about rear strut and rubber lines near mount.

I have a 2011 250r and I went to go do an oil change and noticed I couldn't get my drain bin under the bike all that well because the strut seemed to be hanging down lower. This could very well just be me being stupid but as I looked at it I noticed two rubber lines connected to the rear lower strut mount just dangling. Are these suppose to be open ended like that? The bike is running well but I'm just curious if I need to fix something.

Those lines are just overflow tubing. Fuel and coolant, I believe.
