Going to work

Rode my 6R to work this morning (normally I drive a small carpool) since everyone else had something needed to do. For some reason, work is much less MEH when going on my bike.

Lately when I ride to work I feel better from the moment I get on the bike to leave until the moment I get home and step off. When I drive the car it's almost the reverse.

well today I got the inevitable sting on my way home

popped my visor to scratch my face, doing about 60 mph or so, and WHAAAMMMM. Something hit me so hard in the face it felt like I had been punched. Then the stinging started. It took me a second to get stopped, get my helmet off, and get the damn thing off my face. It was a hornet about an inch long. It smacked me in the face about a 1/4 below my eye and stung me two or three times. My dang face is swollen and hurts. I hate hornets.

I've caught a stinging insect in the throat at least three times this summer. I guess I'd better start knotting a bandana around my neck when I ride.
