Wood craft and vortex are the only ones you'll be able to get immediately here.

Does Vortex even make a 250R specific kit?

No they do not. Kitaco is one of the brands they're vortex style and cheaper. The other is on WC price level.

They are great. A bit long to reach, but once you get used to it, they are a big improvement over the stock bars. If you are a taller rider, they will feel a lot better.

Noob ?....what do clip-ons do? I read about them all the time and know what they look like. I just have no clue what they do? change the body position to be more aggressive like the SS bikes?

They will change your body position and make the handling crisper.

Woodcraft clip-ons are definitely a reach and are a bit pricey. I've heard nothing but good reviews on these. I recently got a pair of WC clip-ons for my bike, and so far, I like them. It seems a bit easier to get through turns. I love the ability to adjust the height of the bars as you please, as opposed to the stock handle bars.

Vortex are a little bit cheaper, but they don't have risers available. Without the risers, you can't lock your forks in place when you park your bike. If locking your forks isn't something you do, or care about, then IMO Vortex will be good enough.

With either Vortex or Woodcraft, you gotta be careful when turning. When I back up my bike from the parking space, and turn the handle bars to the far left or the far right, my hand gets pinched between the handle bar and the front fairing. I think this is unavoidable as long as you have clip-ons for the 08-09 Ninja. If you wear gloves, then getting your hand pinched isn't a big deal.... IMO, of course ;-)

Michelle, I have the woodcraft clip on's and my hands don't get pinched in either direction. If I have my fingers on the brake or clutch lever and I'm not pulling the lever in while turning full lock my fingers do get touched by the lever and fairing, but not with much pressure. As far as being pinched between the bar and fairing... they're not even close. If it doesn't bother you, that's cool... but you could fiddle around with adjustments and get clearance.

I'm working on fiddling with the handle bars, but unfortunately I managed to strip the bolt. I tried removing all of the other bolts and seeing if I can wiggle it around with just 1 screw, but it's so tight. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the loctite?

I got the bolt measurements from Woodcraft, so now I gotta go to the hardware store, buy a replacement bolt, buy the bolt extractor, and we'll see how that goes.

I wouldn't buy from from RacebikeRentals they are one of the most expensive places to get Woodcrafts on the net.

Please enlighten me, I have searched everywhere and have found racebikerentals to be the cheapest. I did however, pick up a full Shogun crash kit for $171 shipped from Fatbikez.com w/military discount.
