Bundled Accessories

Hey guys...

In some countries, the authorized Kawi dealers are having bundled accessories for the SE models. For example, in Malaysia the 2013 SE models are bundled with Arrow Exhaust and footpeg too.

I am getting a burnt orange 2013 SE model and the one I have booked is also not excluded of these bundled accessories. With an additional US$600 to US$700 on the price tag, would really set off mood of owning one when you know you could get a better deal with that price elsewhere.

Is there any similar offer at your location?

Is it a good bargain?

Here in the U.S., SE means nothing but different paint/stickers.

Really not worth it, and it does not add any resale value to the bike.

Kawasaki and other manufacturers do offer various discounts/financial incentives from time to time, to clear out old stock. Not sure if they do that in other countries, but it's common practice here.

For example, my GSX-R was a two-year-old leftover with zero miles. I got five-year, zero-interest financing on it, and on top of that the dealer waived destination and prep charges, plus I got a significant discount off of MSRP.

Yeah, you can buy a brand new motorcycle or car and negotiate that into the agreement.

The financing is from the authorized dealer's credit facility or a third party?

Here in Malaysia the financing came from third party such as banks and credit company. The only bargain we could get is the authorized dealer knock off MRSP's price which about approx. around US$250, but the interest rate remains the same.

If the credit facility came from the authorized dealer, the annual interest rate is way much higher from 10% up to 13%-15%.

Never i have seen deals which involve 0% interest rate.

That my friend is definitely a bargain!

Yeah, thats only if you finance from the dealer, but I never finance anything, I buy everything with cash therefore I never pay interest.

What I actually said was "various financial incentives" not specifically that the five-year thing is common practice.

The one I happened to get was 5-year, 0%. (I should also note that I have a really good credit rating....)

I takes the form of a line of credit done through the manufacturer. If you don't pay off in time, the interest rate is ridiculously high and you're responsible for interest on the full amount of the loan. But if you do pay on time, it's effectively the same thing as cash. Doesn't cost you anything at all.

Manufacturers also sponsor reduced-rate financing, factory discounts, etc.

I'm attaching some of what's out there right now... not sure if you can see these directly from other countries.
