Buying teknic chicane suit

Hey guys, Im looking at buying a used teknic chicane race suit for use at the track, along with teknic chicane race boots... Anyone have experience with the above? How would they be to use off the track?

I have the 1piece suit and it has always protected me wonderfully in crashes at the track. I had chicane boots and they worked okay at the track, but the zipper broke on both boots after a year and I had to throw them out. I think that was just from overuse...if you only wore them a few times a year at the track they'd probably be fine, but more than that and they just didn't hold up to being taken off and put back on. They didn't look like the boots you showed, though. And this was several years ago; looks like those are tougher than mine were.

Hey skippii thanks for the input, the teknic shoes seem to be the latest ones, so I'm hoping they will hold up better... I probably won't be using them much off track anyways, but it's always better to know. Cheers!!!

I managed to buy the boots, but the suit slipped out of my hands... Now looking at a "new with tags" teknic violator suit... But it looks to me like it's a really old model. Here is a pic for reference.

Would it be a problem if I bought this? Who knows how old it is... I saw a similar piece selling on a forum back in 2007...

Right, just found out the suit has been lying with him for 4+ years... Is it worth it for £200?
