The gixxer tick or more?

Hey guys, this is a new to me 05 gsxr 750 (i painted it). It has around 8900 miles, and i'm running rotella t6. the last owner had a synthetic blend and the bike was maintained well. Spark plugs changed, and when she bought the bike (used) she had the valves checked just to be safe. I start the bike and it roars to life without hesitation, revs smoothly throughout the rev range, no problems except the whirring/ticking noise. I wouldn't call it a knocking at all. Now I'm wondering if its the timing chain or most likely just the gixxer tick? It goes away 95% after the bike is at operating temperature and has been ridden for 10 mins. I'm wondering if I should check the slack on the timing chain or not worry about it for now. (Oil level is also at the correct level). Thanks for the help and here is a pic/video!

(this is copy pasted from a gsxr forum i post on, I also wanted your guy's opinions)

8900 is nothing, i saw a cbr online with 200k, the bikes will run for a long time with the right care. these bikes just dont last because most owners a.crash them or b.crash them or c.are squids so they dont care/know how to take care of them.

Ok well I just watched your video, number one, thank you for not editing your face out of the shot, your beautiful face only helps to diagnose the problem.

My guess, use 91 octane

If you already are, try 100 octane, see if it still happens

Disclaimer: idk **** about ****, but that's the first thing I would try

I recently had an '06 GSXR600 I bought with 22,000 miles. I put 10,000 miles on it and it had the tick the whole time. My opinion is that it is the nature of highly tuned engines. A little 'valve-ee" down low, smooth as silk up top.

Does your manual call for 93?

ANyways, can you please PM me the paint code for that colour? EXACTLY the colour I want to use with mine,

As for the noise? Completely normal, my bike is at 38XXX KM, and does the same thing. Lots of people drove it and said it's normal.

And I notice that when the engine idles rich and rough due to powercommander, the noise is more noticeable especially with exhaust because of the different tones,

Awesome!! ****, the paint actually comes out of a valspar can

I don't have the name on hand or color code, but my friend has a pic of the can with the name, so when he sends it to me i'll edit this and get you the info

@blink the color was "exotic sea" in that blue valspar can from lowes. So maybe run there and pick one up!!
