Scooters
This is nuts! I never knew scooters were ever considered highway worthy never mind rather quick... I mean, the J300 can do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds? Lol wow... That's faster than a 250!
Source: http://www.visordown.com/reviews/mot...j300/6511.html There's no way this is accurate. Someone tell me it's wrong please, for my sanity purposes.... I also googled the SRV 850 and stunned that they would put a 840cc engine on a scooter... Crazy world we live in hahaha,

Scooters are motorcycles too. Some people just prefer the style, or CVT, centrifugal clutch, don't like the stigma that comes with motorcycles, or the whatever. They're capable little machines. In fact, I almost bought a 150cc TaoTao death trap. I gave it a test ride and it was comfy and natural feeling, but in the end I'm a bigger fan of having a manual transmission so I went with a Ninja that was cheaper, anyway.

I guess it all depends on how you define 'scooter'. Hell, our racing club has scooter racing twice/year. Really entertaining.
I used to ride one of these: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...f/P1010027.jpg Scooter...or motorcycle? |

Hey, I'm getting one of those real soon!
Before the snow flies anyway, so I can get it in my shop to work on it. Scooters have two wheels and an engine, so they're all good!

I was in Asia last year. They have small tracks that races scooters and bikes under 250cc.
There were a few ninjettes. All got spanked. The scooters owned. They're just so much quicker to flick corner to corner. With lighter weight, they can brake much later into a corner and can accelerate out much earlier. Oh....and in city traffic in Asia. There no way any motorcycle can keep up with a scooter. Scooters are small and agile enough to filter through the thickest traffic jams. Just make your knees touch each other and you can get through anything. Works for dense cities in Asia. Not in the US. |

We have a small local track that allows small displacement rides (mainly go-karts, but scooters as well)
