If anyone would need a wiring diagram for the 1987-1988 only, japan only ninjette sadly there arent any.




Here's what i found out about my bike's electrical so far. Took me some time to figure everything out:

1. The bike uses the ignition switch from 1987-1994(wiring diagram) , which is 5 wires only with no ohm resistor.

2.The radiator fan switch is a single pin 1987-1994(wiring diagram) the color of the wires in the diagram doesnt match my bike , the wire that goes to the pin is colored WHITE/BLUE

3.The junction box is different it will only have 4 functional fuses and 2 spares 1987-1994(wiring diagram)

4. The CDI wirings is different I didnt find any diagram like it from the 1987-1994 and 1995-2007 . Instead i found this :


This diagram matches my bike exactly each wire colors but obviously its an oversimplified version look at that ignition switch with 2 wires only but it does match , the white really provides power to the kill switch then the kill switch provides power to the coils and via 3 red wires intertwined inside the harness near the cdi .

CDI Summary:
GPX250RII = 7 wires (2 from pulser coil)
1987-1994 = 9 wires( 4 from pulser coil)
1995-2007 = 8 wires ( 2 from pulser coil)


And I hope it will help somebody in the future !
