Had a really great day at NJMP on Monday. I ran in the Ninja RTR race with Sirref then got my bump to Red Group thanks to Ben! The bike feels great. I'm not planning any other changes for now except for a quick turn type throttle. I have a bad wrist and have a hard time with all that throttle travel.
Is the Motion Pro the only one available? For the 250's there was a mod with zip ties. Anything like that for the 300's?

Grats on the bump!

No track time with it until later this month. 20 degrees less rotation to WOT, by my measure. I've also heard something about R6 throttle tubes, but I'm not familiar with the details. edit: Zeta Part number ZE45-5101 ![]() ![]()

I may go with the Motion Pro in the end though. I checked with Justin Levy at Trackside Parts Club and he gave me a great price.

About how much is the rotation reduced with the Zeta? Any idea? Looks nicely made especially considering the price.
Thanks

Thank you! Great graphic. I'll have to research on the Motion Pro but a reduction from 100 deg to 79 deg is significant.

I just checked the 300 with stock throttle against the 750 with a Motion Pro. I'm going to try the Zeta as it looks close to whatever cam is in the 750 and my wrist likes that one.
**Just ordered the Zeta. Hope it gets here in time to try for the next track day. Thanks for the tip toEleven

If you don't want to add to the tube, you can run dirtbike grips. They are shorter than street bike grips and shouldn't hang over the end. Plus, they come in some super sticky compounds that I like. I run them on my machines.
Downside is that they are closed on the end, so you'll have to cut them out to fit over the clip ons.

I'll just cut the stock tube that I'll be removing if that works. If I don't like the Zeta I'm going to get a Motion Pro from Trackside Parts Club

I tried the Zeta throttle tube yesterday. Took less than 10 minutes to install and is super smooth and a good bit less throw. It still isn't a short enough throw to be comfortable with my bad wrist so I ordered a Motion Pro from Justin Levy at TrackSide Parts Club.
If anyone wants the Zeta I'll sell it for $30 shipped in the conus. That's less than I paid. I'll post pics when the Motion Pro arrives. Mike

No problem. It was worth a try. If it was a just a little less throw it would have been perfect.

Big shout out to Justin Levy and Trackside Parts Club for yet again hooking me up with some needed parts at the best price found.
I have carpal tunnel to my right wrist and my hand goes numb after a few laps having to twist that long throw throttle on the 300. Justin had the Motion Pro Rev 2 variable rate throttle kit for the Ninja in stock. It got here. Only took two days. Putting it on for this weekend at NJMP. Pics to follow. Justin is the man. Thanks!!

Here's the throw with the MotionPro mounted. I rode it at NJMP and liked it. Pretty easy to install too.

Yeah, can't wait! It looks like we're going to have some pretty big grids this season. People have heard how much fun the Team ProMotion Ninja RTR series is.

We had 22 Ninja 300's on the grid for the first race of the season at NCBike last weekend with Team ProMotion. It was a blast. The grid was split into two experience/skill groups, ProCup (experienced) and Cup (less experienced). We all launch at the same time with just a space on the grid between the groups. I run in Cup This year the rules allow flashed ECU's and some other mods. The modded bikes are significantly faster. Mine isn't modded beyond what's here in this thread. I shot the attached video during the Ultra-Lite Super Sport race which includes other non-Kawasaki small bore bikes. The guys you see me running with after the first lap have bikes prepped similarly to mine. It was a blast. Join us!!

Fork springs
Hey Mike, have you done your fork springs yet? I ordered the RaceTech springs, which according to their website was a 29x377 MM spring. When swapping them over, i noticed the stock spring was longer. Am I missing something?
Thanks Chris ![]() |

^^ just adjust your spacer length. I have run into that issue with the RT springs before where there was a free length difference between springs on some other bikes as well. Its not enough of an issue to worry about.

I have the PZ gear indicator. This looks very similar. Nice to have when in the heat of the moment you need to click down some gears and you're not sure what gear you're in.

This photo is from the Team ProMotion www.rideTPM.com GPMoto Series UltraLight SuperSport race. This is a mix of 300 class bikes. In this pic I'm in the lower left in 5th overall (2nd in class) and sirref is to the right in 4th overall (third in class). The three bikes at the top of the pic are the lead group. Ben and I got held up in the opening laps and they took off. The bike in second position there though started on the back row and just motored through. These little bikes are all about keeping up speed through the turns and he carries so much corner speed that his overall speed pushes him through.
Here's the video I shot using front and rear cameras. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sx67wLKFYM&t=12s If you have one of these you really need to track it. It is sooooo much fun.
