Where can I get a longer throttle cable for dirt bars ?
The title pretty much says it all. Those of you that have been around for a while might remember me for being the guy that tries to make the EX250 something it is not ! My last endeavor was to make a trike with one. It came out quite right btw. It was for my dad that couldn't ride a two wheeler anymore after a stroke at 72 yrs.. The EX250 Ninja was his favorite bike he ever had. Turned out he couldn't ride a trike safely either (trike conversion is up for sale BTW). NOW I am making an EX 250 "Town bike " I'll call it. It will have an upright seating position like a classic 70s bike for travel not much over if even 70 mph. I can't go over 70 mph safely within 20 miles of my house IMO. Anyway, I'm getting rid of the quasi clip on style bar and putting old fashioned bar clamps on the triple tree. This way I can put wider , slightly taller handle bars on the 250. I think I've got the longer clutch cable and front brake cable figured out. But I see no solution so far for the throttle cable not being long enough for the conversion. Any Ideas guys and gals ? :confused

I've made throttle cables from bicycle brake cables, cutting the housing to length and brazing lumps onto the ends of the inner cable. They work fine if you're careful making them. Sometimes you can use one cable end as-is or with slight modification, so you just have to braze one end.

sorry to bother you but...what did you do for triple tree clamps to go to "regular" bars vs the bars on the pregen now. I want a more upright riding position for my daughters 2003 250. I just started searching around for what I can do to replace the triple tree bar clamps after I see now they are a special fitment to the ninja. I want the same and not sure now to accomplish it.
would love to know how you did it. Thank you!!!

Maybe you've already investigated this, but is there maybe a way to reroute the one you have to get a few extra inches?
