Don't know what your criteria of decent is:
- comes in different colours? - milled from solid billet of aluminium? - changes foot-peg position from stock? Try these: https://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/cgi-bi...n&key=05-4130B I broke three sets of these in past 2-yrs, so stock up on some extras. I recommend changing pegs to folding ones. Will keep rearsets from breaking in crash, and/or mangling mounts on frame as well. |

Well, 6061-T6 alloy has ultimate strength of ~45Kpsi. When you shave it down to bare minimum cross-section for light weight, doesn’t matter who makes it, it will break in crash. Especially with solid footpegs. With my folding pegs, 3rd set Woodcraft rearsets has survived more crashes and tipovers than all previous ones combined. There is zero, none, nada, zip, no aftermarket rearset that is as strong as factory ones. You cannot remove material and expect not to lose strength.
If you want stronger, make them out of 4130 chromoly for triple strength. Also triple weight. Maybe 6/4 titanium is middle ground with double strength and double weight. Your choice, but that will cost you at least $2k. Titanium costs has gone down tremendously after Cold War. And durability is more than just material, it’s also in design. For example, using folding pegs makes it much more durable. And adding more metal and making it solid hunk would make it decently strong and durable like factory rearsets. Now you’re talking about designing and fabricating your own as no one makes such a thing. Here’s a set that doesn’t look as hollowed out with more material than Woodcraft. Will be stronger, but still not as strong as factory rearsets. https://japan.webike.net/products/21996627.html Last futzed with by DannoXYZ; June 6th, 2018 at 07:34 AM. |

First set broke with parking-lot tip-over when loading bike.
Second set broke with low-side on track. Also bent mounting point on frame. Third set with folding pegs have survived a parking-lot tip-over, low-side and high-side crash on track. No frame damage. I’m a little disappointed in adjustment range of Woodcraft, maybe +/- 6mm in each direction. Easier way to make factory rearsets adjustable is with intermediate plate, and more adjustment range too. Like these Vortex: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...a-r6-2006-2016 |

That was example of more adjustable rearsets than Woodcraft.
Easy way is to measure distance between 2 mounting-points to frame. If same, we can use R6. Although making that intermediate plate with multiple attachment-points for rearsets is simple enough to do. |

That's the thing

I'm not even sure I will be comfortable with the pegs back (or up) more, at least on my daily...we'll see about a "track bike" later... It seems as though someone with real info would be a ideal candidate for a small donation of their 2¢. But if I was looking for rearsets I'm guessing I would look/find them in a cheap eBay new-gen (08'-12') set (like the ones I linked to in my last post). I've never heard of r6 rearsets being an option; "Fab makes it fit" is always tru tho. |

But, I feel like the best of budget and strength would be Yosimura risers
https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...saAnqCEALw_wcB Only two positions options, but got to be the stongest way to get your pegs up and back! (other than making your own out of unobtainium...or...like...steel) I'll report back with findings on these and other options (I'll try to find those posts of what-mods-if-any need to be made to retrofit new-gen 250/ninja 300 rearset and rearset accessories) |

Hey great find! Those Yosh brackets for stock rearsets really looks like best option. Adjustment looks right about where I have my Woodcraft set. Which I chose over Vortex because of additional rearward position.

That's what I was thinking! How are those woodcraft? I thought they look beautifully crafted; and maybe a little on the svelte side (: I have the woodcraft low risers & bars for my little bike...which are great!
I have to wonder about rearsets...my heels are already pretty close to the pas. pegs...meaning if they're in use, she'll have to stay on her toes (literally); as well as, concerns of my own comfort... When raising the pegs (say with the yosi risers) I think one issue will be with the rear master cylinder..tbc |

Woodcraft is nice, too delicate with not enough material though. Would prefer more vertical adjustment range, maybe 10-15mm higher. I'm still squeezing my boot into ground on corners.
Rear master probably can be flipped. Passengers? This is my race bike! No passengers allowed! Although on my CBR, I did make some custom brackets that lowered pegs 80mm and moved them back 30mm so passenger has same leg-angles as driver for best fit with minimal interference. More comfort for passenger as well. |

pre-gen '88-07 = 68mm new-gen '08-12 = 49mm So no, the rearsets don't interchange. However, what you can do is make intermediate plate like those Yoshimura brackets or as used on Vortex R6 to adapt between them; new-gen <--> pre-gen. |

https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=89172 This thread (particularly posts #2 #26 #27 #28), among others, led me to believe otherwise; that could boil down to my reading comprehension... I've only ever owned a pre-gen. Thx again |

And here's a thread showing that one of the tabs on the brake side of the frame needs to be removed to mount 08+ rearsets to a pre-gen (among other reparable clearance issues)
https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=43121 But again I'm just reading things off the internet. |
