The Last Post?
Well, here it is, my Ninja 250R. Have owned it since new for the last twelve years! Wonder if anyone can beat that... or the mileage... 38,343 miles!!?? All still stock parts apart from consumables and the odd bracket that dropped off! Loved this little bike, was perfect for my daily commute to work. Still running perfectly, but it’s time for a change, some might say long overdue...
So I’m bidding a fond farewell, to it, as well as all you lovely Ninja 250 people on the 250 forum who have helped me along the way, it’s been appreciated 😁 Thank you x |

Well I have owned my 250 since I bought it New in 2005 so I have you beat time wise. Mileage is ONLY 30K so you have me beat there.
Just because you are getting rid of the bike doesn’t mean you have to leave us. You are always welcome to stop by anytime you like. |

Chopping it in for another Ninja, albeit slightly bigger, so will still be pestering for answers over the coming months/years no doubt. |

Totally understand, it's always good to try something new and mix it up. One thing I noticed when getting a different bike is that the N250 is in a class of its own. The new bike will always have more power but heavier. However, I did try the N400 and that bike felt similar in weight or maybe lighter but the power delivery and fit is just ahead of the 250. If my bike sells I'm getting that 400.
If you could swing both try keeping the 250 when you get a new bike, that way you get a feel for the pros vs cons of having a bigger bike. Who knows you might prefer the lighter bike. At one point I had 4 bikes at a time but I ended up selling the GSXR750, 600RR, and R1 because of my 1.5-2hr commute in traffic. The bigger bikes were monsters in terms of power, but the Ninja 250 was the best in that situation and the other bikes ended up collecting dust. Post your new bike here whenever you get it. I'm curious if it will be a 400/650/636 since you mentioned a bigger Ninja.

102k is outstanding!!!
@BoBO, getting the 400 as just fancied a change really, not far off the weight of the 250, and tbh I’ve got an old CBR600 so just narrowing the gap slightly 😀 |

The 400 I rented was a previous track bike so I don't know what was done to it but just by looking it was definitely geared down.

Cheers. Was a toss up between this or a standard newer model, but prefer the livery on this... I’m not really a fan of the honeycomb! Plus performance model was a bonus 😀
