Tyga Performance Exhausts for the 2008 up Ninja 250
Hey everyone! Alex has been kind enough to allow me to post here so I wanted to show you guys what we have for the Ninja 250.
I am the US distributor for Tyga Performance and have been using their two stroke exhausts on my NSR and RS race bikes for nearly as long as they have been around (over 10 years). Paul the owner of Tyga has an 08 Ninja 250 and they developed some parts for it, mainly a full exhaust and a few carbon items. In the last few years Tyga has been making a lot more 4 stroke systems and they have been very popular! Right now all of the full systems are on sale on my site and are ready to ship immediately from here in the US, and you can purchase directly off the site. http://www.tygausa.com/23-ninja-250r-2008-2010 The oval carbon can is especially sexy...and I think you guys will like the price! Thanks for having a look!!

I do not have any Dyno charts I can post right now but I *will* follow up with some later! They did some Dyno work in the UK and I will try to post that as well as Tyga's dyno numbers however this is on fuel injected versions so there could be some slight differences for bikes here in the states, I imagine how you set up the jetting will have some effect!
That said I think the numbers were around 2+ HP or there abouts. Of course it is lighter, looks great and sounds good! If anyone wants to have a go I will make you an even better deal than our current sales price if you want to get your bike dyno'd with the Tyga system. I wanted to post some more pictures as well as I only added a few in the first post. I know many of you may not be familiar with Tyga Exhausts but they are quite famous for their two stroke stuff and more recently the VFR/RVF400 systems that are really popular and have a great following. There are 3 options for silencers and the Aluminum version at just over $250 is an outrageous value! Lastly, since these are designed with the fuel injected version in mind they already have the bung for an o2 sensor in place (plug included) which you can use for tuning as seen in this thread: http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=36042 Full system with oval carbon can: Round carbon can: Aluminum can: Some more random shots!: And you can see more here!: http://www.tygausa.com/23-ninja-250r-2008-2010

I've purchased Tyga stuff for quite awhile for my Aprilia RS250. VERY good quality! This is a screaming deal for a full exhaust with this kind of quality. +2 HP is not all that much, compared to some of the other exhausts, but if you're looking for a good looking, quality exhaust at a great price, I don't see how you can go wrong here.

It is really good stuff at a great price, I have had an NSR for about 10 years and have been using Tyga parts for almost as long as they have been in business. The 2 hp number is a conservative figure on the Tyga test bike that is fuel injected, I think a properly jetted US spec bike will probably see better gains...I don't think they did anything fueling wise on the FI bike.

YES!
I was in the same boat, I couldn't find any dyno numbers. I decided to buy the aluminum round full exhaust and dyno it, see if I made a wise investment. Needless to say, I'm VERY happy with my purchase! Here are the results, dyno chart included! http://racingorder.com/2010/10/tyga-...-dyno-results/ |

$259 for full system is incredible deal. Most full system is like 450-500. Heck, my Akrapovic slipon is like $475 already.

I'm afraid that didn't happen either. If Kawasaki could get a 2 hp gain by just not having a snorkel..... you bet they would not install one.

1.5HP at peak. He literally did a run on the dyno for stock, I pulled out the snorkel and we did another run.
Stock was really rich, removing the snorkel helped lean things out but even after installing the TYGA system it was *still* rich. |

I don't want to argue.... I'm just saying it is NOT possible! The HP gains you speak of are the dreams of people like me that have done every performance mod possible to get anywhere near 32 HP.

Stock has never been rich to my knowledge... Always lean. Removing the snorkel and adding exhaust only leans it more.

I didn't go to the effort to dyno my bike to spoof results. What you see, what I wrote in my writeup is genuine and not a bunch of ****. Believe what you like, but I don't see anyone else putting R&D testing/dyno work out there.

stock, the 250r is rich on top and lean on the bottom and midrange.
I can fully understand ending up w/ the stock main jets close to optimum after making intake and exhaust changes to improve flow, but I bet the bike is running dangerously lean at this point if you haven't made any jetting changes. check your plugs. I also find the 32hp mark a bit optimistic, but every dyno is different. are torque and a/f ratio graphs of the dyno sessions available? |

I haven't checked the plugs, but I put brand new plugs in before I ran the bike. I don't know the differences between dynos, however, the bike was dynoed by a very reputable engine builder. The fact is our baseline for bone stock is 26.6hp, I pulled out the snorkel and it ran 28.1hp, installed the exhaust and it ran 32.3. I'll be jetting the bike and having it dynoed again. I can get the torque and a/f ratio graphs. Maybe that'll help prove this isn't BS. |

I think the issue that we are all having is that you have to be sacrificing something to do all of this and not jet your bike. Every dyno and even the person running the dyno does things slightly differently, hence different numbers. |

The ONLY reason we didn't do another run that night with the bike jetted is because it was late and that would have taken far longer than either of us wanted. We called it a night, knowing that I'd jet the carbs and come back for final tuning. I know each dyno can vary, I'm no expert, but the stock baseline vs. no snorkel vs. full exhaust without snorkel in my opinion painted a clear picture. |

Yes, we had them on a deep discount for awhile, but the recent price increase is in large part due to the falling dollar, we finally relented and raised prices...thank Ben Bernake and Tim Geitner!
Order took the initiative to do some dyno work on his own and has no reason to flub any numbers, but as has been pointed out dynos are different and can provide different results, but with that said a number of other people including some more racers are going to be running this exhaust and already have it in hand so expect to see more dyno work and results.

Is there any info on how loud this is yet? like decibels I mean. Those youtube videos don't really help IMO.

Are you looking for loud or quiet? I'm assuming it is on the loud side based on the option to buy a silencer. Most companies do not have decibel readings of their product. I found that out when I was trying to compare decibels of different slipons/full exhausts. The only company that does have decibel readings that I have found is AreaP (correct me if I'm wrong), pretty much everyone else gives numbers like "low 100s" without being specific.

The Aluminum one is probably a bit more quiet than the carbon cans, but overall the Tyga system is not obnoxiously loud, not quiet either...but as you can see it saves a bunch of weight, makes killer power and is the best deal around on a full system!

I've got to admit, I'm def pretty interested. It's just the sound thing kind of worries me. Is there a sound clip comparing it to stock by any chance? or maybe someone who's installed it could give an opinion?

But slapping on an exhaust, airpod, rejet just won't cut it. You have to fine tune the bike via dyno. |
