I found a better one in Santa Rosa. Welded diff, springs, stage II clutch. etc.
pretty much a full drift setup. I gave the guy my number. Ill probably harass the hell out of him if its not sold yet. It was put up like 2 days ago and has so many hit already but only a few have been semi local to him. Im sure he wants to do it local. Im about 3 hours away and Id be down to hit that UP! I basically gotta pull the money out of my ass though. lol

You're just gonna look like a poser, especially if it's painted like that. They're cool cars but underpowered for today's competition. Get a 240 and be done with it. Parts are cheap and abundant and they're drift ready with a welded diff.

lol Im not gonna compete but i will take up drifting.
That ones already got a welded diff, and lots of goodies. for 2500 Id be stupid not to pick it up. Im sure itll be gone by this weekend though... There is no way I can go check it out before then. Id take a 240 but my wife wants to me to get an 86 like Takume's car on Initial D seriously though. She does.

Hence my buy it from japan joke haha. It would be a fun car to learn to drift in though. I'd have to get a 240 so I don't ruin my namesake haha

Yeah that's what most people do. Make replicas down to the cup of water, but don't actually drift them...

Now that I think about it I've never seen an AE86 in CO ever...Initial D got me wanting one too lol, but I think a 240 suits me better after all I am pretty familiar with the KA24DE engine.

Nissan, there are a few Corolla GTS's rolling through Westminster and Boulder I see every now and again. My friends just don't understand when I slam on the brakes to take a peek... Also, Atlantic Race engines... 11k, drool...

Dang, guess I'll need to cruise around westminster some more lol. Those engines are sweet, costly though. 11k makes me start thinking of an rx-8 again, closest I can get to that high a redline with my budget haha. Oh, another good drift car rx-7!

there is a good chance I may be picking it up. I have to talk to my wife about it because we might have to take out a small loan or something... not sure.

my brother currently owns a 93 240SX SE model. Its funny because it has a ridiculous digital speedometer thing that shows up on the windshield. The KA24DE leaves A LOT to be desired, the transmission feels kind of fragile and I believe the stock viscous LSD was pretty much Ryan DUNNZO. As a matter of fact, I may be completely incorrect on that last part. HA, Id walk the thing in my car, and my car sucks.
Get a seven. be different. or get a 2nd gen MR2 and learn what it means to Toe-OUT (I split my MR2 rear bumper because of this... or was I just going to fast???..!!) HAHA |

for 2500 I cant pass it up...
"1985 corolla gts with a welded diff. Has koni blues and aftermarket lowering springs(forget brand) Front and rear godspeed swaybars, new starter, a custom 1 piece driveshaft, a Grant GT steering wheel, and a short shift kit. the interior has been stripped and the sound deadening is removed from the rear seats back. spec stage 2 clutch and the head was rebuilt at 215k with new timing belt, seals, valves, hg, ect. just put a new starter and obx header in" there is what its got... and most importantly the body is straight.. Ill have my fun with it and teach my wife to drive with it and such. My main car I want is an Evo 9 and the time will come when I can get that. Until then Ill need another toy. Thing is my wife will wanna hold onto this car even when Im ready to get an Evo... She loves the 86. also what is a seven? Im not a huge toyota guy, so im not sure what you are referring to. MR2s are cool, just not really my style. My buddy had an NA one but it threw a rod.

oh... thats a mazda so I was a bit thrown off...
If was to get an RX7 itd have to be the turboed one. I had a buddy in college whos GF had 3... she always was effing up the transmissions... dumb broad. anyways. Rotarys are to temperamental and cant take the beating like and inline 4 cyl. turbo

rotary :barf:
For $2500, if there's minimal rust on that thing, that's a steal. Just pull out a personal signature loan for whatever you need, so you can get the title and own it. |

No rust, straight frame, clean title,
only cons, are no interior.... so thats not big deal. Ill prolly have to do that though. Oh well Ill finish selling all the stuff im selling and pay it off.

On a serious note, dont take out a personal loan for 2500$. Just buy it with your own funds. 2500$ although is a small amount, will come with a high interest rate, especially with it being a PERSONAL LOAN. Unless you plan on paying it off immediately, within a year. Its not worth it. That is all. |

I think I figured out what imma do. Im gonna call my credit card company and get a check sent. hopefully it will be there in time. I might have to do some random stuff if its not...
Then Ill just have my normal interest rate, and there will be no penalty for paying it off early. Which is what im worried about with taking out a personal loan. Since it is such a small amount they are gonna want their interest... -__- but yeah it should be paid off in a matter of a month or so, I just have to finish selling all this stuff and get my bonus and vacation pay

Sorry for my off topic posts but rotarys are awesome. Not the most reliable thing on the planet (especially the early rotaries in the rx-8)but awesome engines. KA does leave a lot to be desired but it is very reliable. A lot of people like to get SR20s though.
Good luck getting that 86 though!
