Hard to start after sitting in 100 deg heat all day
My machine is a bee-ach to turn over after sitting outside in the sun. It seems like vapor like, because it takes me a good 15 seconds of cranking to finally get it going. Any suggestions team?

Chock is useless.
Yes. I think that I have tried all the standard start operations; choke on, choke off, throttle on, throttle off, etc. Just as soon as the system cools down, say after moving into the garage, the creep starts up OK. In the morning, after sitting pretty in the garage, temps arounf 80 deg F or so, she cranks over in 2 seconds. I gave the mixture screws a bit a a turn, richer, but it didn't do anything for the "vapor lock" symptoms. I will say that after she heat soaks in the sun, it takes a good 20 seconds of cranking to kick over, then runs like nothing was the matter.

Try opening then closing your fuel cap, before you stab the starter button, next time you feel you're in the right conditions for this problem to occur.

I've had the same problem. I open the gas cap for a few seconds and then start w/o the choke and it works like a charm.

I will give the cap operation a go. Seems like it should cure a vapor lock squeeze. Thanks all for the suggestions.
