Anyone have a K&N Air Filter?
So, after reading the responses to my RPM question, I found the 15T sprocket on Amazon and am buying it. I wonder, does anyone have a K&N air filter? Will it make significant improvements in power as it claims, and will it impact fuel economy at all?

Acceleration might improve ever so slightly but mpg will be negated as you might be on the throttle more.

I run a uni foam air filter. Their slogan is "the world's best air filters" and it is SWEET! I'm glad I didn't go with the K&N filter after all the reviews I read. I heard K&N doesn't really fit right into stock box too but the Uni one fits perfect. So far, its running like a champ

I run a K&N KA-2508 lifetime filter. Fits perfectly in the OEM box. Clearly better quality than stock, and did let a bit more air through. Was running just a smidge rich and noticed that lean out slightly on install, just as I'd hoped. So, yes, very slight performance improvement. Nothing too big, but I suspect going with the K&N pod filter would do more.

I use a Pipercross filter. Dual density foam provides a greater amount of small particulate filtering over the gauze style (K&N). Living in the high desert fine dust and blowing winds are a problem.
