Leaking fork and woodcraft bar ends
On my 08 ninja, the left fork had a pretty bad leak when I first got it a few months back. I replaced both fork seals with aftermarket ones that I got from a local bike shop. I did use steel wool and a file for bad pits/bumps on the forks. However, the left fork still "leaks," just not as bad as before. It doesn't leak out anymore, but the dust cover (wiper) does get wet and I wipe them after each ride.
I'm now replacing the left fork seal and dust cover with OEM parts. Any suggestions if it still leaks? I don't want to drop a few hundred for a new fork. I heard cyano acrylate glue over pits may help. I also live two blocks from the ocean so that speeds up rust. Can I WD40 the fork once a week to prevent the rust? On another note, I have woodcraft clipons that are missing the end caps. I have an extra pair of universal bar ends. Anyone ever tried having bar ends on both sides? Wanted to get an opinion if it's dangerous before I do it. Might even help the handlebar vibration |

wd40 should be okay. spray it on and wipe it down and I think you'll be fine on a weekly basis.
why not use the stock bar ends on the WC and move the caps on the ends you have now inboard? |

Haha, I forgot I had those plastic ends. I do currently have stock bar ends on them. I guess it'll come down to looks. I didn't push either of them all the way in.
Just curious if it helps any with vibration. I'll probably just leave it exposed to be honest. It never rains here so I don't have to worry about water collecting. |

I got them used and knew they were missing. I can always get new bars for $13, but am looking to experiment around.
