EX500 wheels?

Has anyone put 2nd gen ex500 wheels on a 1st gen 250? Ive got a line on a couple dirt cheap 1st gen 250s,and I have ex500 17" spare rims etc. If im going to make it to the coming up Summit round, ive gotta move my arse

The Gen2 EX500 wheels and the related parts are nearly identical to the NewGen parts. The NewGen front wheel has tabs built in for the speedo drive, while the 500 has a separate piece that snaps in. The collar between the bearings in the front wheel is a different size as well.

I think you'll need more parts than just wheels to do the swap, but the 500 wheels should work as substitutes for NewGen wheels without too much effort.

Thanks bill. I dont know squat about the Kaw's,besides racing a 500 this year, and it was just for a time killer between races on the FZR,for gits and shiggles. So for now if I cant find answers searching,I gotta play newbie with goofball questions Being cheap doesnt help either Besides, the 250 I was hot-to-trot to get today just sold and the seller never responded when I was trying to go get it.Oh well, the search continues............
