Ohlins gsxr rear shock
Might be selling my bike so i am putting most of the stock stuff back on and selling off the fancy bits.
Lets start at $350 shipped CONUS, + shipping anywhere else. This works as a GSXR shock conversion but requires a little more modifications than the typical GSXR conversion, not for the faint of heart. Shock is re sprung, ill get exact details, thinking it's an 8.8kg/mm spring i ended up going with. Again works just like a typical shock conversion except you need to trim some of the lower bracing of the top shock bracket off See pictures. I think i ended up grinding it out until i had clearance. No guarantees, all i can say is it worked for me and i never had a problem and i have pushed the suspension on the bike about as much as one could. No signs of stress anywhere in that area, the bracket seems pretty beefy. Everything in the pictures is included, everything you would need to do the conversion. I ended up drilling the holes out on the shock to 1/2" Some other people have done the same and used the 12mm bolts with little to no problems. I was not comfortable with that so i bored the races out to 1/2" and used all 1/2" hardware. That is all included. Only thing you would have to do is swap the 3 races out with ones i provide, 2 in the linkage and one on the swing arm. Then use the dog bones i provide as well. Since the top shock bushing is drilled out to 1/2" you would either have to drill out the top shock holes on the frame to 1/2" or buy a new 10 or 12mm bushing for the shock to use the OEM 12mm bolt and holes. This shock is slightly longer than the 250 OEM, not shorter like the OEM GSXR shock. Only longer by a hair at it's shortest length (adjustable) works well with OEM length dog bones. Bones included, holes r drilled out to 1/2" That should about cover it. Summary, Everything included, you would need to trim shock bracket, drill out shock bracket hole or get different bushing. Everything else is swappable. You could also use the OEM races with 12mm bolts and your stock dog bones with the 12mm holes, you would need to source longer 12mm bolts though. Note: might not be possible with stock air box Link to thread https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=185283 any questions don't be afraid to ask

your timing couldn't be better...I'm at the limit of what the gsxr shock can do
lemme check the funds, I'm a bit drained since I just did a twin sprints race weekend I'll also have to see if it works with the stock airbox since I need that

How much room/clearance did you have with the gsxr shock? I just know this one sticks out towards the rear a little bit more, how much?? Not sure, i can line them both up tomorrow and get some pictures for ya as i have an OEM gsxr shock laying around

From the look of the pics on your install thread I can trim the plastic more and it'll fit that way just fine
where would it come into contact with the air box though?

plus that preload adjuster is moveable. I just left it bolted to the shock. you could relocate it onto the frame somewhere back there more accessible and you would not have to trim as much off the back

a shot of the 2 gsxr shocks. The reservoir obviously sticks up a little further than the OEM one,
I can't remember where the air box stops in the back, it's been too long since I looked at a bike with the box in. The remote preload adjuster can be moved so that is not biggie. On another note, I had a few better pictures but when I was loading them last night my dumb MacBook pro crashed for the 3rd time since we have had it and unfortunately it is now out of warranty.... hate that POS
