I still consider myself a novice in the world of motorcycles and have only been riding for about 3 years, so take my thoughts for what they're worth.
I wonder why he tries to sell this bike so hard. I'm glad he had a lot of nice things to say about the bike, but why didn't he bring up the suspension that isn't optimal for a husky American? Top speed of 115? Going downhill with a tailwind, maybe. 70mph? That's really generous. 0-60 in 5.7 seconds? Doable with a practiced, experienced rider in optimal conditions. Still, where'd he get these numbers? Light? For its time, I guess. 370ish lbs wet isn't all that light. On the note of replacing the mufflers, I don't think he realizes that they weigh a ton. I still have my stock cans on it and am happy with them, but I completely understand anyone wanting to modify their exhaust. There are plenty of fantastic things to say about any Ninja 250 as the Ninjette enthusiasts on this forum know, but I think he really gave it more credit than was due and exaggerated some things. |

It's kinda seeming to me that you don't really get what RCR does for reviews. He talks about bikes and cars that most people consider garbage, and then he usually expands on that to show why people are stupid. And then in the old days for good measure there's grunting and poop jokes.
RCR has gotten a little tame in recent years. Check out some of his older reviews that were a little more out there. Like his Suzuki GS500 review.

Also, I really don't think the point of RCR has ever been to show the goodness in cars that everyone likes. He's showcased both good and bad opinions of vehicles before. He was quick to poke fun at the Dodge Avenger, many Corvettes, Porsche 944, modern WRX, and Jeep Wrangler JK. |

Ok well, It didn't seem like he was really pushing the bike to me, it was par for the course for RCR. I'd say most of the time his commentary pokes fun about people rather than machines. Some of it more funny because it's painfully true.

Here's a picture of Kurt Worden at the finish line of this year's (2017) IronButt Rally. He finished 21st this year, he rode almost 10,000 miles in the 11 days of the competition. This is the second year in a row he's finished the rally on his EX250. (Almost all of the other bikes in this competition are big highway weapons, like BMWs and FJRs).
