Changing bike around for different riding style.
Dont know how many people change their bike around for the style of riding but this old timer does. Been three months now from the big move from Arizona to Florida. No more mountain knee dragging curves. First off sitting in traffic three lights to get through and we all know these bikes hate it. First to go was the 97c fan switch. The 18mm bolt gsxr fan switch rated at 85c fits straight across. Keep those temps down. 5 year old bike now so new silicone hoses in pretty blue. antifreeze was my coolant since i was in the mountains and temps would reach in the low single digits, water wetter is now a must for me. second no more diablo rosso 2 tires. i needs tread for the rain. brake, clutch and rear sets needs moving and adjusted for faster response not comfort. Im not worried about my riding skill, im worried about others driving skills so off came the stock mirrors and new blinker indicator ones are now on so i can be seen more. I have a few more ive done and when i think of them ill come back here. Keep riding safe everyone. And Remember if your working on your own bike do it the right way never take short cuts. In the photo you will see solder join in the oem blinker to a weather proof two plug to still be able to remove the fairing.

Not a bad idea, That didn't cross my mind. Thanks for that. Since you brought it up ill also look into a rear brake light flasher. Harley uses them a lot. Ill have to see if DOT allows them or if this state will let me get away with it. After all it tells you in the motorcycle manual to pump your brake a couple of times to get the person behind you attention.

IIRC, federal law says brake light flashers generally are okay so long as they're not continuously flashing the brake light.
Definitely double check me though, I'm hazy on that. |

ITs on its way. I can do on the cheap if it works. I saw a couple that are programmable for the amount of flashing you want. alot more pricey, So modulator and flasher on the way.. SO they make small led marker lights for the sides. I use the license plate ones on the side and so far get away with it. Wouldnt marker lights be better?
