My GPS is huge and fits behind the Sport Touring Windshield. The OEM windshield is roughly 4.5" + smaller. I'm pretty sure the mount would work, but the iphone would be exposed to the weather. Worse case, you could also put a ziplock bag over it, when it rains; however, the wind would probably reek havoc on the bag. My windshield also does just that ..... shields the GPS from the wind.

Here's another cool gps mount idea from Ram Mount. Just a simple threaded ball. Pop off the mirror plug by the clutch side lever and you can now put the ball in. Very clean and cheap too.
You can put one on the brake side also. The levers have the threaded sockets for other bikes that utilize the same levers but don't have plastics for the mirrors, so they go there instead. I have one coming my way, will be cool to try it out. 250 RAM Mount |

I just did the same thing for my TomTom, using Headshrink's part list. I think it came out great!

I get warm fuzzies when I see people building on my "Erector-RAM" idea.

I don't have pictures but I have an 09 ninja 250 with a hotbodies windshield so I used these RAM mount parts:
Manufacturer: RAM Mount Model: RAP-B-200-12U http://www.expressmounts.com/ram-mou...b-200-12u.html Model: RAM Mount Mini Motorcycle Mount Base 9mm Hole RAM-B-272U Part No: RAM-B-272U (also RAM-B-272) http://www.expressmounts.com/ram-mou...am-b-272u.html I've noticed a lot of people not using the swivel arm. It works great and it makes it look a lot cleaner. |

i did something similar. ram mounts work great. plus being somewhat tucked under windscreen reduces buffeting.

here is with a nextbit robin. it’s better with a iphone se but harder to see. the robin does covers some of the gauges.
ram shock pad. since nextbit died a quick death due to razzer buying em out, i didn’t feel bad about gluing the pad directly to the case.
