damn kids and their no worries while they're racing
I doubt many 15yo kids are thinking in the back of their head "If I botch this pass and break an arm rent is going to be difficult this month" oh well, at least they're a riot to watch

Bummed to find out the rumored age of 28 ended up being 25. If you're between the ages of 25-28 (or even younger yet too) please email ncox@motoamerica.com and tell them we want it raised back up!

Looks like I'm in for next year, 25 being the cap is barely enough for me to get my feet wet and do at least a round
Sent an email but it may be more effective to talk to them in person when I race

I've talked with them on the phone quite a bit, they said if they get enough emails/calls and interest in general they'll definitely consider bumping the age up a little

Recently received an email that I'll be eligible for the 2018 season. Really looking forward to it! With the rules being so restrictive the question for which bike pops up. New series surely one of them will stand out a little

New Kawasaki 400 throws a curveball at MA. Do they allow it or deny it, if it's allowed then the championship will be dominated by Kawasaki

Seems competition between Kawi 400 and KTM RC390 can only improve the breeds for both and us consumers would get better bikes! RC390 may be slightly down on power, but it's also lighter.

They are already going to allow the Honda 500 (471cc) with competition adjustments. It should be easy enought to "adjust" the N4 |

I wonder if people were getting them down that light (and now have to add a bunch of ballast - or if they are already close to that new minimum weight anyway.

The KTM's were already pretty much that light. They're wicked fast. Our ninja 400 we have two 10-15lbs chunks of lead bolted to it to meet weight restriction

In kart racing, immediately after the race you go right to the scales and need to make the minimum weight - kart, driver, fuel - everything. We needed to fill the frame tubes and bolt lead weights in numerous locations to make weight. Having a light driver and being able to choose where you want the weight (to improve handling) can be an advantage. As usual - lighter is better! |

Dani Pedrosa has a lot of difficulty wrestling around a MotoGP bike and he also has difficulty getting enough heat in the tires at the start of a race. All because he is so small. |
