My Ninja Rebuilt by myself
I repaired all the plastics using ABS cement. I painted with Krylon ($3.86 a can at Walmart).
I bought a set of Ebay clip-ons with a lot of adjust ability. I had a master cylinder and clutch perch with new shorty adjustable levers I had bought for my Yamaha. I believe they came off an ER6-N. I have a basket case 2004 ninja I robbed the rearset brackets off of. And here she is: [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

You did a lot of nice work to get that in shape again, congratulations!
If you decide you want the paint to look better close-up, sand it a little with some 400 grit wet and dry, and put a coat of Spraymax 2K on it. It's a very tough 2-part clear that comes in a spray can with a push button on the bottom to mix the two parts. You'd need at least two cans at a bit over $20 per can. |

I wanted to mention that I really like the clip-on's that I got and I absolutely love the way she handles with the one inch drop in the front. And yes I have already maxed her out (105 on speedo so about 95) and no instability at high speed straight-line

That's good to hear. I wondered when you said you ran off a ramp and crashed. Take it easy on the top speed runs though. You really should go to a local track for the high speed fun.

I intend to,that top speed run was made at 2:00am on a long stretch of four lane. I wanted to be sure after dropping the front an inch it didn't make the bike twitchy or anything

I have two areas of concern, if youve already looked these over feel free to disregard.
1) Youve used a front brake master off a bike with two calipers. Your lever "feel" is probably reduced at low braking pressure. Drive safe 2) Looks like a replacement bolt was used on the upper triple clamp, please use high grade bolt there for your safety |

Thanks. A few of my friends have commented that she looks like a superhero. That wasn't the intent, but I'll take it I guess. I just wanted her not to look like every other one on the road.
