Bike won’t start and it could be anything.

Hello friends, as I said I have a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 250R that doesn’t want to fire up. All the lights come on and when I hit the starter button it turns over but won’t catch. I took out the starter solenoid relay and upon inspecting it and pulling out one 30amp fuse Ifound only one side has brass connectors inside. That has to be why she won’t start right. Please help.

Welcome, I believe if there was no continuity the bike would not crank.

To clarify - this is a 2014 250? Did Canada still get the 250 in 2014 rather than the 300, or they got both?

If starter spins engine, it's working perfectly fine. Other areas to look at:

- power going to ignition coils?
- spark-plugs OK?
- ignition fuse OK?
- power going to ECU?
- power going to injectors?
- power going to petrol-pump?
- EFI fuse OK?
- how much petrol is in tank?
- has ignition-switch ever been replaced?
- MAP-sensor connected? vacuum hoses connected properly?
- crank-sensor connected? positioned-properly away from flywheel?
- TPS-sensor connected? Is it rotated properly? Idle-switch engaged?

Any one of these can cause no-start condition. It's very likely you may have more than one.

That was going to be my next question...

If it's cranking/spinning-over properly you need to look at ignition or fuel.

How old is the gas?

Did you check for spark?
