But they aren't significantly stiffer though, are they?
Anyone have a reason or side by side picture describing why we would want to install the newgen clutch and brake levers? What's better about them? |

does anyone know if carbs can be swapped? probably need to be re jetted but not sure about intake boots being same diameter or throttle, and choke cables being in the right spots. doesnt matter on air box side as i can get new pod filters to fit new carb but cant find any info of diameter for engine side of carbs

i suppose with parts getting harder to find for 88-07 250s if you cracked your perch in a crash then you could buy perch and adjustable levers from a 08-12 250. i think they look A LOT better than stock 88-07 levers. i havnt seen a lot of pretty aftermarket levers for old ninjas, all i have seen are black or chrome

By hoses I meant all fuel lines. The boots to the engine and the air filter are the same size.

Camshaft swap
So I've got a 99 that I ordered a complete head for (broken cam rockers) and got sent an 08-12 head. I know the heads don't swap over because they don't quite line up, but the camshafts look pretty similar besides the lobes, I'm curious if anyone has put the newer cams in the pregen and what the effect is, or if no one has before if it could be done

Cams completely different. One's designed for rocker-arms and other is for buckets.
Pre-gen has more aggressive cams and makes more power anyway. Last futzed with by DannoXYZ; January 12th, 2021 at 08:59 AM. |
