I'm using an Exide 7L-BS. It's an AGM, so sealed. I got it 5-1/2 years ago and it's still going strong. It was $25 delivered. I assume yours takes the same size battery as my 2005. You can check the measurements if in doubt.

My favorite brand is Interstate - Factory Activated. After that is Yuasa. Moto-Batt is the most versatile for installs because of their posts can be connected in different ways.
Look at your amp hours, post positions and dimensions, H x W x Depth. Any AGM battery that 'fits' will be a candidate. Exide is sold at Advance Auto stores. |

"Any AGM battery that 'fits' will be a candidate."
I think Yuasa and other major battery manufacturers should produce maintenance free batteries for practically every model to replace the battery acid with vent tube models. It's just my opinion, but I think the advent of the "maintenance free battery" without battery acid overflow is one of the great advancements in the last 25 years, so we should be able to take advantage. Can't find a maintenance free battery that "fits". Found some that may work, decided to order the BikeMaster AGM MS12-7L-BS; think I can make it fit. Some concern about lower amp hours, but I'll check the starter draw and the charging rate when I get the battery in, next week. Last futzed with by haybaler; July 28th, 2023 at 06:37 AM. |

BikeMaster AGM MS12-7L-BS. Kawasaki Part - 26012-1205 BATTERY, 12V 8AH, FB9L, A2K (K2) K. says 8AH. I see what you mean. A Shorai will be 7ah or 9ah. The 9 amp hour might be small enough to fit. https://shoraipower.com/batteries-c41 All AGMs are acid filled. The acid is dumped in, gets attached to a mat and doesn't slosh around. That's all. I had a a Honda VT250. I put in a Shorai. Being smaller, they put in pads in the packaging to take up the extra space. I bought a Shorai charger with it. |

I've taken to replacing all my batteries with Shorai lately. It's more expensive up front, but saves SO much headache down the road from dead batteries!

Battery arrived, looks a little smaller but turns starter briskly and charging voltage appears to be about the same.
Installed with a few pieces of packing, threw away the overflow hose; hooray! [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Looking good! Now you can feel safer and cleaner. You will get a better service life from the AGM.
BikeMaster is distributed in the US by at least one of the major wholesale delivery companies. They are made in China, but your warranty in the US. |
