Excellent review
Got the last 2008 Ninja 250 in the state of Maine on 26 June. Mine is Lime Green and had the Monster Energy Graphics--removed with a hair dryer. Love the bike!

Congrats on the new bike! I haven't seen a bike in person yet with the Monster decals, but my impression from pics only would probably be the same as yours. Glad the hair-dryer route worked well...

Gary J has posted up a review of his day at the track with the ninjette. Unfortunately it didn't end so well, when another rider took Gary and his bike out at high speed. Gary is mostly OK, and the ninjette is repairable, so that's some good news.
Here's a link to his review...

Monster Energy Decals
I managed to save the decals in case, for some God I don`t know what reason they would have some classic value should I decide to sell the bike. My selling this bike is not very likely--since this machine has totally impressed me. I used to race TT in the 60`s. Trust me, back then 500`would have been blown away by a Ninja250R. We are talking a serious motorcycle here.

Kawasaki Ninja 250R Bike in India with pics, price, top speed, review, competitors
The kawasaki Ninja 250R is Know as ZX250 in UK and GPX250 in the US.
Its is the best 250 cc bike in the world. It is launched in India by Bajaj. This bike in India would be looked as a high price bike ,but according to me and many other Ninja 250r riders there cant be any competitor with Ninja. The CBR 250R can be a little Tough competitor for the baby ninja. but overall for those who can easily shell out 1 or 2 lakh more for more powerful, stylish and dominating bike this is the perfect bike. If you hav money then dont think too much just go for it. The mileage of this bike is claimed to be 42 kmpl by bajaj. If its claimed to be 42 then it will obviously give more than 35kmpl on road. --------------------------------------------- I had my 250 serviced in August '16. The engine oil and filter were changed. Spark plugs were changed. The air filter was changed. The bike also got a new rear tire. Oil, filter and plugs add up to a total of 1.1 hours according to the list above. The changing of the rear tire and probably some minor checks were performed. On the bill it said 4.1 hours. Including parts this cost 6963 NOK, which (depending on the exchange rate) equals more than 800 USD. (No valve inspection or adjustment, and no work on carbs included [FI-bike]) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 2014 I had a similar service, but with a valve check (no adjustments), but no change of tires. I paid for 6.5 hours of work, and the receipt says 8105 NOK (950-1000 USD). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If the standard maintenance overview above, including estimated no. of hours reflect what should be expected, it seems like the bike shop worked very slow, or had me pay too much.. (I had the bike serviced in Trondheim, Norway). |

Yes, that's little much. Maybe your shop isn't familiar with this model? Although it's been out for a while. Perhaps you may want to get some estimates from a different shop?

Almost 43 000 miles / 69 000 km now. I have had the bike regularly serviced according to schedule. The only unforeseen problems were 4 or 5 leakages in the front fork, which were all cured by the SealMate tool. The fuel light was erronous for a short period of time, but "self healed", it seems.. I am the only owner, and impressed by the Ninja 250. I have ridden it in many kinds of weather, even snow. It keeps it's finish relatively well, still. Bought it new at AB Motor in Trondheim, Norway, in February 2012. |
