i have a lot of money in my bike as well, but to me, it wouldn't matter if it was a 250, a 600, or a liter bike, i'd still be dumping money into any one of them to make it just the way i want it. just like my car and my pit bike. modding is a very bad addiction.

This is such a joke, for unnoticeable gains. Trying to improve on a time tested and proven method of fuel delivery, it won't be satisfying to say the least

Well, EFI Ninja 250R with same list of external mods gets +5bhp more than carby models. That's +15bhp over stock, more power than Ninja 300.
Problem is this Ecotrons EFI kit sucks and support non-existent. |

All EFI sucks. If EFI makes more power than carb, it's because someone doesn't know how to tune by screwing jets in and out. Carbs atomize better, and always will. Max power always carbs. Driveability for numskulls who can't screw jets in or out, EFI

1. dyno on engine with carbies 2. dyno on exact same engine with EFI Every single valid comparison using same engine ALWAYS has EFI winning. I could say same that anyone who can't beat carbs with EFI doesn't know how to tune and click the correct buttons and even worse, have no idea how engines work. In fact, last bastion hold-outs for carbs, NASCAR are ALL EFI now. In fact, they are making so much more power over previous carbies, that rules have to be modified to slow them down. |

After reading here and as a side note I would like to share an information to this thread, the question is not only injection or carburetor because without igniting the fuel in the right (correct) moment nothing will happen.
So additional as important information: The higher power output of the injection ninja comes in a very big part from the ignition setup. Ignition Timing Ninja 250R Carb US-Model (measured ~ 26 hp) 1300 - 10 2000 - 15 2500 - 20 3000 - 25 3500 - 30 4000 - 35 4500 - 35 5000 - 35 5500 - 35 6000 - 35 6500 - 35 7000 - 35 7500 - 35 9000 - 34 US-Model with BRT-TIS 1300 - 10 2000 - 41 2500 - 41 3000 - 41 3500 - 41 4000 - 41 4500 - 41 5000 - 41 5500 - 41 6000 - 41 6500 - 41 7000 - 41 7500 - 41 9000 - 41 Ninja 250-FI (2008-2012) Japan, Brasil (Claimed 33 hp, real 30.5 hp) 1300 - 13 2000 - 16 2500 - 24 3000 - 32 3500 - 39 4000 - 40 4500 - 40 5000 - 40 5500 - 40 6000 - 40 6500 - 40 7000 - 40 7500 - 40 9000 - 39 EU, India (Claimed 33 hp, measured 30.2 hp) 1300 - 13 2000 - 16 2500 - 24 3000 - 31 3500 - 38 4000 - 39 4500 - 39 5000 - 39 5500 - 39 6000 - 39 6500 - 39 7000 - 39 7500 - 39 9000 - 37 Thailand (Claimed 33 hp, real 30.9 hp) 1300 - 15 2000 - 17 2500 - 24 3000 - 30 3500 - 37 4000 - 41 4500 - 41 5000 - 41 5500 - 41 6000 - 41 6500 - 41 7000 - 41 7500 - 41 9000 - 40 250 FI 2013 - SEA (Claimed 32 hp, real ~ 29 hp) 1300 - 10 2000 - 15 2500 - 22 3000 - 28 3500 - 35 4000 - 39 4500 - 39 5000 - 39 5500 - 39 6000 - 39 6500 - 39 7000 - 39 7500 - 39 9000 - 38 250 FI 2018 - SEA (Claimed 37 hp @ 12,500 rpm) 1300 - 12 2000 - 24 2500 - 24 3000 - 35 3500 - 39 4000 - 41 4500 - 41 5000 - 49 5500 - 50 6000 - 50 6500 - 50 7000 - 50 7500 - 50 9000 - 50 Ninja 300 World (Claimed 39 hp, real ~ 34.x hp) 1300 - 10 2000 - 13 2500 - 17 3000 - 20 3500 - 24 4000 - 27 4500 - 29 5000 - 29 5500 - 29 6000 - 30 6500 - 30 7000 - 31 7500 - 31 9000 - 31 About the measured Power output from the 250 engine: US-Carb model: Claimed Peak Horsepower 25.37bhp @ 11,300 rpm Europe FI model (measured in Italy): Potenza massima 22.2 kW @ 10,500 rpm (22.2 kW = 30.19 hp) The higher rpm from the US-Model results mainly from the 30 mm throttle body compared to the 28 mm from the 250 Injection-Model.
